Innovative Design

The new VW ID.7 will make an eye-catching approach, with a three-dimensional hood design and LED headlights. The design’s flowing lines and long wheelbase create a sleek silhouette – and offer ample cabin space. Passengers will enjoy plenty of head- and legroom, with a panoramic sunroof that makes the interior seem even more expansive.

Driving Experience

The new VW ID.7 will come equipped with a single electric motor – the most powerful and highest-torque electric drive motor in a Volkswagen EV model so far! This motor will send an impressive 282 horsepower to the rear wheels, proving you don’t have to choose between performance and efficiency. In fact, the ID.7 will race from zero to 60 mph in just 6.5 seconds, with top speeds of 112 mph! An even more powerful, dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant will be available later on.

The new ID.7 will borrow the ID.4’s 77.0-kWh battery pack, but go further thanks to its more aerodynamic shape – up to 300 miles on a single charge. A larger 86.0-kWh battery will join the lineup later, possibly only for dual-motor all-wheel drive models.

While driving, a new charging and thermal management function will pre-conditioned the battery ahead of the next DC charging stop. This brings the battery to the optimum temperature so that it can be charged quickly at maximum power, reducing charge times by several minutes – especially helpful in the wintertime.
